Programming IDEs

The debate of which are the best tools for programming is probably as old as programming itself. Feel free to expand on this list with your favorite!

  • The company JetBrains produces user-friendly IDEs for programming a variety of languages, including C++, Python and Java. In addition to being user-friendly, these have several customization-features that make them good also for power-users. Their tools have academic licenses, so you should be able to use them for free if you specify you're from UiO:
