Adaptive LED robot for plant growth optimization

LED lights can be expensive and in some cases it can be desirable to use as few LED arrays as possible to save cost. In these cases, it may be important to position the arrays in an optimal way so that as much leave area as possible is exposed to the light. The project involves controlling a multi-axis robot holding a LED array so that the shadows of the plant own leaves are minimized optimizing the exposed leaf area.

The fitness value will be calculated by the measured photosynthesis (CO2 consumption ratio)

The student may choose to make his/her own custom robot in the master course IN5590 Rapid Prototyping of Robotic Systems
