  • before saving the graphics in the respective programs
  • For Latex
    • recommended approach: save as pdf, use pdfcrop
    • epstopdf - usually installed with latex
    • pdfcrop - usually installed with latex
    • for direct inclusion to Latex use the scripts linked above to create PGF/TikZ files
